S-1 DIVISIO The Storekeepers fSK'sj of S-1 division man the ship's supply support center and are tasked with the ordering, receipt, stowage and issue of all repair parts and consumable materials aboard the ship. Also tasked with managing a supply storeroom containing approximately 12,000 re- pair parts, the SK's requisition any items re- quired for direct turnover to the ship's work- centers. In performing stock control and inventory management, the SK's extensively utilize the SNAP II microcomputer system. Also serving as the onboard accountants, the SK's manage the OPTAR budget. In foreign ports, the SK's coordinate ship's required services and prepare dealers' bills for payment. In performing a diverse range of duty, SK's are presented with challenging daily jobs and responsibilities.
