E-1 DIVISICDN E-1 division consists of Gas Turbine Specialist Mechanical CGSMJ and Gas Turbine Specialist Electrical QGSEJ. GSM's have the responsibility of operation, maintenance and upkeep of the Main Engine room which houses two gas turbine engines and accessory systems necessary for the proper op- eration of the main propulsion plant. GSM's are also responsible for the fuel system which in- cludes refueling operations, accountability and quality of fuel onboard. GSE's perform maintenance and operational upkeep on electronic circuitry in the Propulsion Plant Consoles which house the control and monitoring circuitry for the gas turbine engines and the four ship's service diesel generators. Without the combined efforts of the GSM's and the GSE's the heart of the engineering plant would stop. Therefore, the moto of the en- gineers is We make it Haul. 5 ,jT1'1 LT EDWARD L.
