The BM's of today's modern Navy are still tasked with the demanding jobs associated with Marlinspike Seamanshipn. Words heard over the IMC preceded by the boatswain pipe inform all hands of upcoming events. Prom rev- eille to taps, the BMOW is the information cen- ter to the crew. as Tasked with mooring, anchoring, small boat operationz, UNREPS, flightdeck operations and the overall appearance of the ship, SC-3 rises early and retires late ensuring the never ending tasks are completed.
