'4 1 .1 1 QSGALLEN 3 li . T l V SC-Z DIVISIO The Communications Division is responsible for providing fast, accurate and reliable COMMS in support of the commands mission. Each of the Radiomen has a specific job assignment, but they must have a full working knowledge of every job within the division. The various positions are watch supervisor, tape cutter, traffic checker, and broadcast operator. The watch supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the watch section. He en- sures various Departments and Divisions receive all pertinent messages. He must also proofread all messages prior to transmission. iii The tape cutter types outgoing messages in i their final format. He must be a very proficient typist because of the heavy influx of message l traffic there is usually not much time to waste making corrections. The broadcast operator receives the incoming T message traffic and routes duplicate copies to the appropriate personnel with the traffic checker ensuring all incoming messages have been re- ceived and filed.
