This year Troup 589 presented one three-act play and five one-act plays, along with the Interscholastic League Play in the Spring term. The two three-act plays, ulunior Missi, and uYou Canit Take It With Youf, and the Senior Class Play, c'Our Hearts Were Young and Cayf' were consid- ered the most outstanding productions of the year. The drama department had a most suc- cessful year under the direction of Mrs. Gus Browning.

?uture Homemaker of dmerica The Reagan Chapter of Future Homemakers is sponsored by the Home Economics Depart- ment under the direction of Mrs. Frances Edwards, Mrs. Mary S. Huckabee, Miss Frances Murphy, and Miss Carolyn Stewart. The three hundred members meet at their respective periods each week in six units or clubs. Billy Tolar, Barbara Newland, Beryl Willett, Patsy Mahan, Jo Ann Englebert, and Max Schuebel were unit presidents during the fall termg Herbert Arnold, Joyce Bortz, Melba Vlffest, Billy Tolar, Mildred Ehrlich, and Beryl Willett were unit presidents during the spring term. The council of nine members is elected to lead and supervise the activities of the club. The Future Homemakers this year gave a tea for the new teachers of Reagan, sent useful gifts overseas for a World Christmas Festival, and gave an interesting Christmas program concerning home decoration. The purpose of this club is zito promote a growing appreciation of the joys and satisfaction of homemaking. to emphasize the importance of worthy home membership, to encourage democracy in home and community life, to work for good home and family life for all, to promote international good will, and to speed the development of creative leadership in home and communityfl F.
