Cen tenni I Cape es On the 28th day of lan- uary, l946, there appeared at lohn C. Fremont some- what more than five hun- dred students who were to spend their last three years of secondary schooling here. What confusion for these pupils during those first few weeks! They couldnt find classes, lost themselves looking for shops, and fell easy prey to upper classmen's pranks in directing them to our non-existent swimming pool! Gradually they be- came part of the Fremont family by joining clubs and organi- zations, and by making new friends. They were now on their way to becoming a great class. After two and a half years of work and fun, the B-lU's of W'46 were Senior As - O, most Exalted Rank! Their Senior sweaters, a cheerful canary yellow trimmed with brown, were bright spots everywhere on campus. The Senior Tea and the Senior Banquet, highlights of their last year here, were carried out so successfully that they were among the very finest affairs Fremont has boasted. ln caps and gowns of royal blue, the graduating class Cnamed in honor of the one hundredth anniversary of the discovery of gold in Californial marched down the aisle one by one to receive their diplomas. This was their last big affair at their Alma Mater, and they made their farewell a memorable one, as they smiled fwith a tear or twol at the carefree past and the challenging future. Mr. Wood eulogized the group with an appropriate comment: This is one of the most outstanding classes l have had the privilege of graduating,
