hangar bay spectacular no. 2 was a rousing success! on kennedy's first night in montego bay, some 500 guests came aboard for a reception and entertainment provided by the ship's band, the marine detachment, and troupes of dancers and singers recruited from montego bay's night spots. guests included u.s. ambassador walter tobrinerg ambassador and mrs. michael Iouet of franceg charles coats, the resident united nations representativep and victor c. moore, high commissioner of canada. many of the guests vvere tourists of various nationalities who were among the 500 invited by a small kennedy advance party. and many had come from as much as 100 miles avvay. 1 56
