x fs, jV coaches and players have a very positive out- look for the coming season, said jV Coach Tada. Coach Tada and his assistants A.j.Brick, john Can- non, and Ron Grunden had their team prepared for a well played season. Although we are not as experienced as last years squad, we think that we have an excellent shot at the league title. Our pass- ing game led by Bob Pastora at quarterback with Mike Francis, Howard Haffner, and Mike Arroyo as wide receivers, is looking very good, according to Coach Tada. The junior Varsity running attack is also coming along with Mario Rodriquez and jeff Williams at halfback and jeff jones at fullback. Leading the offensive line will be Bob Steele and Phil Bertole at tight ends, Art Yanez at center, Mike Weaver, Martin Ponek and james Hamilton at tackle, and jerry Wollard and Harvey Bazan at guards. We should have a fine defense, but most of the positions are not settled yet, continued Coach Tada. The top teams in the league should be Crescenta Valley, Hart, and Burbank, they will be the ones to beat.
