The roar ofthe crowd will linger on This year's majorettes are KELLEY MORGAN, JOANN LENTO, the head majorette and KATHY BRODERICK, A panel of students and teach- ers chose the majorettes on the basis of poise, and proficiency with the ba- ton, and grade average. Twirling their way through a sharp routine, the majorettes and flag twirlers livened up many play- ing fields this year. Our three majorettes and eight flag twirlers spent many out of school hours perfecting the colorful routines witnessed by the student body. With flags snapping and batons flashing, they accompanied the John Burroughs Redskin Band at various parades. Many girls tryout before a panel of teachers and students to become members of these groups. Flag twirlers this year are DEBBIE BROWN, ROBIN MOUNCE, SUE SNOW, FAITH COMPTON, KATHY WHITESAL LYNNETTE POPE, PATTI BURKE and STEPHANIE DREW, their captain. The girls spend many hours perfecting their routines. 34
