The Business Department at John Adams serves two groups of students: those who follow a planned se- quence of study in stenography, bookkeeping, general office procedures, or merchandising; those who choose electives from the department offerings to contribute to their general education. The combination of personal typewriting and notehand into a course designed for election and use by those on a college bound program has become increasingly popular. Up to date equipment and teaching techniques enable each student to develop his learning and earning potentials. Participation in the co-operative work experi- ence programs by those students with vocational ob- jectives, enables them to enter the offices or stores of our community as better prepared employees.
