X The Faculty E conceived a novel idea this year in regard to the faculty section. Everyone would like to take the credit for discovering it, and everyone does. The idea was to make silhouettes of them. Oh, yes, they're quite authentic. We'll tell you how we got them. It seems that all teachers, that is, most of them, have a common weakness. They cannot resist the fra- grant aroma of Java. So how simple to send each one an invitation to the effect that if they would grace room 206 with their presence, they would be allowed to con- sume caffein and cookies to their hearts' content. The results were amazing. Practically every educator ar- rived, and promptly too! But little they knew what awaited them! Une by one they were lured behind a little screen. One by one they were instructed to watch the little birdie , and one by one their profiles were taken by our official photographers. The art staff traced the pictures and artistically decorated them with bon- nets, wigs, and other relics of the nineteenth century. Simple, wasn't it? This is the first time that the Maroon has contained individual pictures of each member of the faculty. This is an absolutely new experience as far as we're concern- ed. Of course it won't meet with everyone's approval, but we've done it nevertheless, and we hope you'll like it. Dorothy Michels, the brave soul, was the member of the staff appointed to compile information on our faculty, and she has done a splendid job of it. Some of the questions asked were: What is your Alma Mater? What are your hobbies, if any? Have you any pet aversions? What degrees have you obtained ?,' So you see quite complete insight on all the teachers was ob- tained. We are sorry to state that live of our teachers do not appear on the panels. Miss Shoules, biology teacher, and Mrs. Rees, the nurse, resigned in midyear, and we were not able to get their pictures. Miss Collins, Eng- lish teacher and Gleam adviser, Miss Hain, girls' gym- nastic instructor, and Miss Brennan, industrial geogra- phy teacher, also, are not on the panels. r-flax.. .I .
