SOCI IETY The Cleveland-johnson Historical Society was organized in September, 1919. The members are chosen by the faculty from the three upper classes. The qualifications for membership are the ability and initiative to do things. There are three officers, two from the faculty and one from the student section. The president is appointed by Mr. Guise, and the secretary and treas- urer are elected by the members. The ollhcers for 1922-23 are as follows: presi- dent, Miss Perryg treasurer, Mr. Harrellg secretary. Margaret Giese. There are committees for the different kinds of work. The committee on athletics and scrap books compiled all the scrap books for athletics and social events. The committee for the alumni records has been working to get the correct address and occupation of all the graduates of Cleveland and Johnson High School. The Society tried to secure a case in which to put all the relics that have been gathered. Thus far efforts have been in vain, but we hope that Miss l'erry,s wish will be granted. This case will be put in the corridor so every one can see what has happened at johnson many years ago. Miss Morton, a member of the Historical Society, wrote the inscription for the memorial tablet which has been placed in the new S. A. Farnsworth School. Nr. Farnsworth was the First principal of the Cleveland High School, It was through his efforts that we have a high school in this part of the city. 8
