Every year the Robinson fans look for- ward to the games against Oak Grove. Oak Grove has become our biggest rival, and a- long with this has come the great spirit, support, and vandalism. In the past few years, the rivalry has brought about bright paint on the two scho- ols with slogans such as NR.H.S. is flu, and nGo Big'Greenn, and some things that we'l1 leave in the dust from the sand bla- ster. Along with the paint came the eggs and urolledn houses. This year the two schoolls Student Coun- cils got together to devise a way of stop- ping the vandalism. Both school's Senior Cheerleaders made a flag with their mascot on it. The flags were to be given to the team who won. It was said that the flags would be exchanged back and forth to the school that won the games. The rivalry doesn't bring all bad though, the spirit during the weeks of Robinson vs. Oak Grove games is super! This year the Robinson Senior Cheerleaders had a Hspirit weekn for the big football game. There was an extra long pep assembly in which the student body repeatedly chanted HBEAT OAK GROVEIN On the other side of the river, there was also a lot going on. Oak Grove had a spirit week and an hour long pep assembly. The football game didn't turn out as we had'all wanted. Oak Grove won with a score of 13-6. The annual Band Contest was also an upset. Despite this, the fans continued to stand behind the Senators and help the basketball teams to gain continuous victory over Oak Grove. The Hornets were really excited about the game at their home court. They sent a letter to Robinson saying that they were going to sell out the stands. To their suprise, Robin son fans occupied all of the visitors stands and half of the home stands. Cheers were heard through the whole night Robinson fans would be heard over Oak Grove's pep band and their cheerleaders. For the last few minutes of the game, the gym was ringing with the chant of HHEY, DON'T GO, WE'LL WALK YOU TO THE DOOR,N by the Robinson fans, Chee leaders, and pep club. The game at Robinson turned out about the same. The Senators ran over the Hornets and sent them home very disapointed. Oak Grove, isn't it time you learned that nR.H.S. ts THE Bssrxssn

Are you into the music scene? Doug Hunt and Owen White sure are. Not only do they both compose and perform songs but they both have won a scholarship in music. Doug plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas, while Owen plans to attend the University of Ark- ansas at Little Rock. Who knows, some day they may be famous singers! L IFE IN 1980 !!!!! During the years of 1979-80, many different groups visited the T. H. Bar- ton Coliseum for concerts. Many of our students here at Robinson have attended some of these such as, Billy Joel, Jour- ney, Thin Lizzy, Z. Z. Top, Van Halen, Molly Hatchet, Styx, The Cars, Heart, and Kenny Rogers, which was a sell out. There are different kinds of concert set ups. Most of them are set up to face just one side of the audience, but this year Kenny Rogers has a new set up. It's round so everyone in the audience will be able to see. The average costs to se a concert isa about 36.50. Many of our students att- end the concerts faithfully and report that they are very enjoyable and well worth their money.
