Memory Will Coll Us Home Now that we are seniors, we're allowed to be a little sentimental. Here, at the end of our four years as Scotters, we can look back and say that we are proud -- proud of our school and proud of ourselves, proud of having grown up. ' Remember our freshman year? l.ittle and lost, we entered Scott in September, l954, and wandered around dropping books, forgetting locker combinations, and go- ing down on the up stairs. Before long, however, we entered the complexity of Scott school life, electing a freshman council with Juris Ozolins as chairman. Ad- vised by Mr. James Hill, we ioined the sophomores in presenting our first social function, the annual spring dance. Our sophomore year found us old and experienced, more than ready to do our part as Scotters. With Al- len Hotchkiss as president, Carol Kledis as vice-president, Judy Holmes as secretary, and Mary Sue Shipley as treasurer, we sponsored several athletic events by sell- ing tickets, and ioined our underclassmen, the new freshmen, in sponsoring the spring dance, April Show- ers. Mr. Hill advised our sophomore activities also. As juniors we sensed our rising importance. Upper- classmen, we. Our president was Bob Snider, vice- president, Louie Sanders, secretary, Carol Kledis, treas- urer, Sharon Hohenberger, With Mrs. Laura Caldwell as adviser, we sponsored the J-Hop Pastels. Queen of the junior prom her attendants were Cherry Wright, Doris Simrell. And suddenly it was l957, and we solved to make the last year our best, in April, Paris in was Carol Kledisp LaGora Bey, and were seniors. Re- we chose as offic- ers Allen Hotchkiss, president, Dave McConnell, vice- president, Carol Kledis, secretary, and Sharon Hohen- berger, treasurer. Janet Quinn was our gracious Thanksgiving Queen, as we celebrated a 6-0 victory in the traditional game with Waite High School. We were processed through a whirl of college appli- cations, scholarship tests, senior class day, the prom, the banquet, picnics, Commencement on June 13, 1958 - and then the year was finished, the best year of all, and also the quickest to pass.
