At College Night Miss Longbrake offers scholarship information to the droves of students and parents. Dedication to Miss Eleanor Longbrake As college adviser, Miss Longbrake leads college-bound juniors and seniors through the whirl of college catalogs, scholarships, tuition fees, and College Board Examinations, always giving careful thought to the individual problems of each college applicant. Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service, the qual- ities exemplified by the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools, are further upheld, both in and outside the classroom, by Miss Longbrake, adviser of the Scott chapter of this organization. ABOVE LEFT: Miss Longbrake supervises the placement of the quarterly Honor Roll, a proiect of the Honor Society. MISS LONGBRAKE In return for her sincere dedication of time and eFfort to the varied interests of all Scott students, we are glad to dedicate the 1958 SCOTTONIAN to Miss Eleanor Longbrake. Energetic and enthusiastic about everything from the organization of College lnformation Night to bug collections, Miss Longbrake retains her unassuming, natural quality at all times. Whether it be a rainy-day excursion to the Science Day Exhibit at Bowling Green or birdwatching in Woodlawn Cemetery at seven o'clock in the morning, Miss Long- brake is with her students, teaching them because they want to learn, showing a genuine interest in their growth in knowledge and in character. lt is our privilege to honor Miss Longbrake in this volume, our 1958 SCOTTONIAN.
