Principal R. J. Langstaff A familiar smile to all Scotters is that of our principal, Mr. Richard J. Langstaff, A scholar him- self, Mr. Langstaff never ceases to maintain those high standards, both scholastic and social, of which Scott may well be proud. Teachers and students alike rely on Mr. Langstaff for assistance in their scholastic and extracurricular proiects. For twelve years Mr. Langstaff has been an inspiring influence for Scott students. Many have followed the examples he sets in habits of order and organization and as a result are now promi- nently successful in many occupational fields. A letter of recommendation to the F.B.l. for a former Scotter, a conference with department chairmen, his cheerful greeting to the students in the halls, and delivery of announcements over the public address system are all part of a busy day for our adviser, counselor, and principal, Mr. Langstaff, who has earned our deepest gratitude for his untiring efforts in helping to make today's students better citizens of tomorrow. UPPER RIGHT-Mr. Langstatt addresses the audience of parents, teachers, and friends at the dedication of the Scott Physical Education Addition in November. RIGHT-lt is Mr. Langstaff who addresses the student body over the public address system at the beginning of each school day. BELOW-Mr. Langstaff cuts his cake at the October faculty meeting, held coincidentally on his birthday. I
