For the first time in forty years a major improvement is to be made at Scott High. Sometime in l953, when government steel allocations permit, an addition will be constructed between the stadium and the main building. Plans call for a boys' gymnasium with dressing rooms and shower rooms as well as six or seven class rooms. Accommodations for visiting athletic teams will also be provided. An attempt will be made to match the brick used in the main structure. lt is interesting to note that when Scott was built in l9l 3 the cost of the entire building was but ES753,000.
