Senior Class The Senior class of 1944 bega11 to face problems relating to their post-school days earlier than most classes that have gone before. In January the accelerated program removed many of its members. The army and the navy both took their usual toll of students. However, the class of 1944 was not hampered in its tra- ditional activities. In spite of everything, all functions received their proper support. Under President Carl Lemle, Vice President Mary Sue Meyers, Secretary Margaretffomlinson, and Treasurer George Freeman, members were given an opportunity to take part in those things which make the last year at school one filled with delightful and lasting memories. The Senior play was given the last week of March under the direction of Mr. E. L. Miller and under the chairmanship of Paul Kyer. As director of the Social Committee, Sue Schomburg planned an outstanding Senior Prom. The Baccalaureate Committee under Marny Lou Wor- den with foresight keyed its program to the spirit of our war world. The Commencement Committee under Jim Findlay was responsible for a graduation exercise meeting the high standards of past years. The spirit behind these achievements was charmingly and efficiently guided by Miss Margaret Schaff, the advisor of the class. The memories of this year must be indelibly engraved upon their minds because of the uncertainty which will be caused by the war and the reconstruction period. In saying farewell to this class the faculty and administra- tion wishes them Bon Voyage as they face the none too simple problems of a much changed and changing world.
