For the Jesuit community life, liberty, happiness is in participating, acts of faith, the happiness of being at Jesuit. Foremost what makes Jesuit more is that in addition to life, liberty, and happiness there is service to others. SPIRIT Spirit comes in many forms: the desire to bring a sports championship to Jesuit, dedicated work in extracurriculars, attendance at Jesuit functions, work in any sort of community service , being on the debate team, laboring in the band , or in any activity. Participation is the keynote to spirit. Simple things like writing Lone Ranger slogans, encouraging cheerleaders , or less tangible actions like keeping the school clean, or helping a student with his studies. All these are manifestations of Spirit . - Greg Holloway fsiff M 5555? NH ' 2 . w , 1 Fx, V' is Haig wi-Xml -'i .., F ' nas Why are these people following me? sf. The high point for many students in the struggle for community is the Senior community days. A time to know faculty, play, manifest spirit. The Mass reminds us of the sacrifice of Jesus. It keeps us conscious of the fact that Jesus died for us . That is why The Mass is so important Although we may find some parts of the Mass ritual hard to understand or even boring , we still realize that it has this message for usg Jesus loved us so much that he died for us. At Jesuit we are indeed fortunate to have a monthly Mass and many other Masses for individual teams. A special thanks goes to Father Heaney for planning so many excellent masses.
