OFFICE OF THE PRINCIPAL To the Class of When one writes risk of writing sincere and his you, therefore, THE PRlNCIPAL'S MESSAGE JESUIT HIGH SCHOOL 3812 Oak Lawn Avenue DALLAS 19, TEXAS '59r these messages every year, he runs the platitudes, even though his feeling is esteem for the class is genuine. I must ask to believe that what is said here is thoroughly meant, and not to think of it as a mere matter of form. You leave Jesuit High School considerably richer than when you fou d her. You belong to the period of consolidation rather than to the period of foundation. You did not found the Student Council or many of the other organizationsg they already existed. Your exploits, therefore, are not easy to recordg but they are real and they have deeply altered your school. Let me mention two areas in particular in which Jesuit High School has the deepest reasons for being grateful to you. The first is scholarship. It is no accident that your class is the founder of the philosophy seminar. More than any other class us, faculty and I have ever known, you have given all of underclassmen, an example of purposeful, effective enthusiasm for scholarship. Because of you, Jesuit High School is more of a schoolg you have enriched her in.sssentials. You demanded and made good use of the best she could give. Secondly, you made this year remarkable for the direct service of Christ. In all truth, you have stirred the faculty by your overt Christ-centeredness, by your open profession of His principles in your decisions and your goals, We are very proud of you. Sincerely yours ir Christ, Mika! Mmmd f-I Michael P. Kammer, S. J.
