ORIAM JAMES JOSEPH COWDIN 1942 1957 One of esuxt Hxghs most popular students d1ed thls year a y1ct1m of cancer 1m Cowdm was born on April 30 1942 to parents Mr and Mrs Daye Cowdln Sr He was the youngest of three chxldren all boys He was the flrst to be baptxzed rn the present Holy Tr1n1ty Church whrch was buxlt by hls father In later years he was an altar boy rn that same parlsh At the age of seyen he entered Holy Tr1n1ty School under the Vlncentran Fathers and the Daughters of Charity Well known and lrked by both teachers and students he attended that school for ex ht years In September of 1956 he entered JCSL11f Hlgh Though he was not brlllxant lm was strll a yery out tandmg boy Hls quality of easygomg cheerfulness won hlm many frnends among the student body and faculty He was a member of esunt Hrghs freshman football team and a sparlxplug addxtxon to the tennns team his ambltxon benng to carry on hls older brothers reputatron On the mornlnzg of Noxember 25 1957 well fortlfled and comforted by the sacraments Jim passed away The announcement of hls death left deep regret among his many frxends as was shown by the reat number of stuclcnts attcndxng, thc rosary and Mass sud for the repose of his soul May h1s soul rest ln pace Amen 4 J v V J , . .
