The Jesse L Brown support group is composed by those who have loved ones on the ship and It s mam objective is to promote good morale on the ship Some of the activities held while the ship was deployed included a halloween party, pot luck Thanksgiving dinner. Christmas party complete with a visit from Santa Claus. a video tape ol Christmas carols sponsored by TV. and a halhway party with skits and dinner. Homecoming events sponsored by the wives support group were the welcome home billboards on Spruill Ave and Rivers Ave . messages from patriots point and the large welcome home ban- ner hung from the side of the U.S.S. YORKTOWN. The ladies stayed very active throughout the cruise whether it was conducting bake sales or long hours on making the giant lei lor the ship. In support of our main goal ol easing the rigors of the deployment in any way possible As you can see our group did its best to contribute to success of the JESSE L.
