The Future Teachers of America chapter is anew organization at Jenks this year, The club has twenty charter members and two sponsors. Activities of the FTA members include the members serving as junior hosts and hostesses at the Tulsa County Teachers' Meeting held at the ,Tenks School in October, 1966. The chapter was initiated November 1, 1966, by the Memorial FTA chapter. Eleven members and two sponsors attended the FTA Fall Conference at Shawnee High School in October, 1966. Ten members and two sponsors attended the FTA State Convention at Stillwater, Oklahoma, March 10 and 11, 1967. The pictures are of a special meeting held February 23, 1967, at which Mr. Herald was a guest speaker. Mr. Herald spoke to the members about interviews and qualities of prospective teachers.
