Last year approximately one hundred and twenty boys went out for track. Thirty-five boys made it,
in addition to the three managers. Every year at the end of the season the team has an election for
captain, most improved, and most valuable. The results were Captain: Larry Powers, Most Improved: Gary
Heard, and Most Valuable: Larry Powers. Last year Mr. Costello was the coach and Mr. Carlson was the
assistant coach. At the end of the season Mr. Costello resigned from coaching the team so this year the
coach will be Mr. Carlson and the assistant coach will be Mr. Wilson.

In the Discus, Larry Powers was first place with a toss of 131 feet and 11 and V2 inches.
In the Long Jump,Larry Powers was first place with a jump of 17 feet and 10 and 3A inches.
