In September, all classes held elections for class officers for the fall term, and students received the X-ray service given by the San Mateo County Tuberculosis and Health Association. October brought the first dance of the year, the Quarterback Sneakng and the opening of the ,47 football season, the end of which found the Indians rank- ing third in the league, having placed three men on the All-P.A.L. teams. Jeff battled South City in the Thanksgiving Big-Little Game and won. Ground was broken for the new shop buildings in November, and members of the Lions' Club, escorted by Senior girls, toured the school that month. In December, the Junior Class presented their annual prom. In January, Ray Settrini was elected student-body' president and the Seniors held their Senior Ball. Graduation exercises were held for the fall class on February 5, 1948. A Donkey Basketball game held in the gym in February proved to be the most exciting event of the year. The Spring Seniors presented their play in April and were graduated June 16, 1948.

The friendly hello which he offers to the boys is returned a hundred-fold. He is a diligent worker. He turns the most menial tasks into a pleasure to behold.
