As soon as school started, the board authorized the sale of student body cards, and for the second consecutive semester, every regis- tered student at Jefferson obtained a card. During the semester a motion was approved that one Block J card be issued to the out- standing boy athlete and the outstanding girl athlete of the semester. The card entitles the holder, for life, to admission to any sports event at Jefferson. The board appointed publicity managers to announce games and school activities. These managers were also responsible for the exhibits in the halls during the semester. The Executive Board declared a Camera Week, during which students took candid shots of school activities for the yearbook. The Board also approved the Art Club's constitution, and so authorized its activities. During the semester, representatives from Jefferson were invited to attend a Student Conference meeting, where they gained valuable experience through the exchange of ideas with other schools.
