The upperclassmen acted as big' sisters to the preps by inviting' them individually to attend the party and assist- ing' them in their initiation into the society. The preps were welcomed by Bliss Dorothy Arnold. the president. They then recited the sunshine creed while nbol of sunshine, a lig'hted candle. After these ceremonies a deliffhtful hour was spent in the gym in entertainment. games and sing- P' ing: The refreshments. as usual, br1g'htened up the spirits and all the n iwinv' that they were from then on members preps were delighted in li 4 g of the Sunshine Society. The new members of the Sunshine Society from the january begin- ning' class were initiated at the Semi-.-Xnnual Prep Party. The affair was in the form of a Yalentine party. which was in keeping' with the day. .Xll the girls assembled in the auditorium and Valentines were given to the preps bv their big' sisters. The preps recited the Sunshine Creed and were then entertained by a number of clever take-offs on teachers and school life. Xfter the entertaimnent delicious ice cream sandwiches were served.
