I ' l , Makrng Our Mark rn 83 What is the purpose of a yearbook? Your yearbook, the Monticello, contains all of the special events that have happened throughout your school year. As Editor-in-Chief of the Mon- ticello for the last two years, I feel that my staffers have achieved the recording of these events successfully. lt is not a simple task-my staffers worked long and hard hours-and for that l thank them, but I would also like to thank my fellow classmates for supporting the annual publication, because it is their true Jefferson spirit and pride that will keep the Monticello strong! . Our Theme-'Making Our Mark in '83-was developed out of the diligent Student Council's efforts to seek an historical landmark status this year. The staff realizes that Mustangs who leave Jefferson also leave their undying spirit and deep pride as a mark for others to follow.
