Evhiratinu S THE TIMIQ lor graduation draws near, we, the members of the class of Iune '56, are lilled with anticipation at the prospect of entering a new period of our lives which holds possibilities of fame and fortune for each of us. However, anticipation is not the only emotion which we feel at this time. Our hearts are tinged with a certain sadness at the thought of leaving our school. our friends, and our heloved principal, Mr. Hopkin Jenkins. who has been not only a friend and an advisor hut also an inspiration who has shown us the way to achieve' ments greater than we could have hoped to attain without his leadership. Now we arc about to depart from the halls of IefTerson and we Wish to leave something to our principal to show in a small part our appreciation for the advice and leadership he has given us. Because of his vital interest in not only the class as a whole hut also each student. we dedicate this SPi1c:'i'kl'N, which is a compilation of the records of the Iune '56 class, to Mr. Hopkin Ienkins, our principal.

DOROTHY FLEGEL URING your years spent in our school you have heard much about Iefferson spirit, and you have seen it everywhere man- ifested. You, yourselves, have become part of it, and have made a last- ing contribution to it. You not only lived up to traditions, you helped to make them. Every teacher has been vitally interested in you as you have been progressing toward the com- mencement of larger and more permanent activities. There can be no better wish attend you, nor one more sincere than this: may you always be the embodiment of the essentials of the spirit of Ief- ferson - fairness, perseverance, loyalty. MR.
