All of us were anxious to get back for our last year of high school. We selected our class officers. Our faculty advisor was Mr. Strickler. Our class was well represented in Y-Teens, G. A. A., Choir, Varsity D , etc. Also, Edgar Bonham, Edward Sterling, Neil Allen, and Barry Staup were chosen to represent us in the Student Council which was started this year. We were proud of having the queen and her attendents chosen from our class for the Homecoming Event. A dance in their honor was held after the Homecoming Game, sponsored by the G. A. A. The queen was Emogene Barnesg the attendents, Pat Berry and Carolyn Polhemus. Baccalaureate Services on May 21 and Commencement on May 24 brought about the close of our high school careers. Most of us regretted this fact, but of course all of us know we shall always be welcome to come back for a visit. The committees for the Hallowe'en party produced an atmosphere of ghosts and goblins for the enjoyment of the members of the October meeting. On December 12 every Y-Teen's dream came to full realization in the beauty of the Jingle Bell Ball. Dick Ford and his Orchestra played for the dance. The members of the Y-Teens provided the floor show. For the Christmas Season, the Y-Teens fulfilled their purpose to find and give the best, by contributing Christmas gifts to the poor children of Delphos. A mother-daughter party high-lighted the February social activities. We, the Senior members of the Y-Teens, feel that we have had a very successful year in that we accomplished and learned much, and hope that the organization continues to be one of high principle and good fun. 44 Second Row: Mililre-nl All-tzprer, Billy .In liglftilllgllillll, Amelia Hittle, Marilyn Slmya-r. Jefferson has always recognized that a growing school revolves around Well organized and well disciplined librarians. Student librarians are chosen from the student body and their appoint- ment is based on their quality of scholarship, cooperation, and desirable service. The librarians are charged with handling of the books. magazines. and with assisting students to find material. The library forms its greatest efficiency in the field of reference. Miss Ellis and her Woman's Club plan an elaborate benefit with a Cin- derella pageant. They allow the Shop to make all the costumes, handle the publicity, etc. Well. when Pete's advertising signs don't measure up to Miss Ellis' ideas, and somehow the engraved invitations are accidentally mailed to local hot-dog stands instead of the socially elite, she withdraws the Club's sponsorship. Undaunted. the Pincushion enlists the aid of the Rotary Club, and hatches a plan to pad the pageant with local talent.
