When the walls of dear old Jefferson echoed back the piping voices of the seventh graders as well as the more matrre voices of us Seniors. we realized that this was the last step in achieving the goal we had set when we were freshmen. We undertook the task of being seniors and setting good examples for those who would s1.cceed us. The first example which we set was the selection cf our class officers. Wesley Prill was chosen president' Edward Laman vice president' Richard Ferris secretary' and Eileen Suexer treasure. Clinton Miller was given the position of keeping our noisy group subdued. In October our class members decided to have a par'ty. It was a Wiener roast. which took place at the Roadside Park near Elida. This event was followed by games and dancing in the school auditorium. On April fifteenth a Senior Get-Together' was held in the arditorium. It ser'ved the purpose very well as everyone attending spent an exening of enjoyment. Also in April was the Senior Class Play which was a murder mystery entitled The Cat and the Canaryf Miss Lehmann and the cast deserved all the congratula- tions they received after the performance. Then came the time for the Junior'-Senior Prom which was a great success. The theme was Colonial Starlight which proved to be very effective, At the end of our high school career came the Baccalaureate and Commencement Exer'cises. We are sincere in saying that we regret leaving Jefferson High School be- cause of the many happy hour's and friendships gained here. All good things must have an ending, and our high school days are no exception. May the Juniors of this year' carry the Senior Banner' as high next year as has the Class of '41! l'orrrrIlirn+-rits oi' The Hunks of IM-lplros Q -..-..- - -. - ..r-..- -. -.--.,.
