Edie receives bouquet with the air of a newly crown- ed queen. 1 964- Homecoming The Third Annual Homecoming was held on Friday January 31. Enthusiasm and spirit were built up among the stu- dents during the week, as preparations were made for the event. Highlight of the Homecoming was the crowning of the queen, Edith Han- sen, the Junior candidate. Mr, Hamp- ton crowned the queen before a full audience between the Varsity and Junior Varsity games. Fay Johnson carried out the crown and Debbie Sloan the bouquet of roses for Queen Edith. The band and twirlers entertained the audience during the half time of the Varsity game by marching in pre- cision, while playing several lively tunes. Although the game with Hancock was not a victory, the spirits of the fans were not dampened. Queen Edith reigned at the dance following. Highlight of the Evening Band marches at Homecoming. 79 1 'u X Queen 's Waltz
