Thornton Superintendent of Schools It is the administration whose task it is to add depth and sensitivity to hollow words such as excellence and integrity. It is the administration whose purpose ultimately it must be to support the function ofa public school-education. It is the administration from whose van- tage point the total scheme ofcomplexi- ty can be viewed and the goals of unity sought. It is the administration and faculty who unite as a group to maintain an effective academic community. The center of this group is Mr. C. R. Thornton. Mr. Thornton concludes his 4th consecutive year at the Superinten- dent's helm having been Supl. in l963-67, Principal 1958-63, and science teacher, 1945. Says Mr. Thornton, MI have enjoyed and appreciated every year. It is a real challenge to help young 1 people prepare a foundation for the future.
