CLASS PROPHECY One night as I gazed out my window, 15 twinkling stars slowly fell to their destiny. Each star appeared to foretell the future of our Seniors, who have and will continue to strive to meet their destiny. In the first falling star I see Reggie Jones, recent winner of The Masters in golf, on his way to buy his favorite weekly, ''A Date With Judy.” The second star pictures Tom Jarratt as the President of Tom's Potato Chip Company. His motto is Service with a smile.” The next star is very bright. I can see the crisp white uniforms of two nurses, Jane Owen and Barbara Hall. ''Can you think of a better reason for getting sick, boys? I hear laughter. Yes, there is Ellwood Kientz, producer of the famous TV program I Married JOAN. The next visionis very cloudy and hazy, but as it cleared, I saw that War- ren Poarch has been named head of the Atomic Energy Commission because of his recent bomb experiments. As the next twinkling star appeared, I sawa green Ford in which I visua- lized two-no-three people. There sat Vivian and Thomas Morgan andtheir little dividend ! The seventh star lefta blazing streak behind it. I saw that Dana had finally settled down to a quiet, peaceful married life with Billy Harding. Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina,'' says Anne Pennington, who now lives there and is an elementary school teacher. Tommy Harrison is now ona professional basketball team. What? All Star of 1972? The next starappears. There is the secretary to the President of the Bell Telephone Company. It could be none other than our own Mary Jane Ricketts. This star is very shiny and bright. I can see Bill Joyner, who has gradu- ated from V.P.I. and is now surrounded by a lot of little Kitty cats. Have youever seen such a beautiful red star? It seems as if that red con- vertible visits Bob Jones College each week-end. I wonder why, Joyce Edwards. Another twinkling star comes in view. Oh, Charlotte is satisfied with just J. V. now, since she made the J. V. team in 1961. As the last twinkling star comes in view, I can hear the sound of music. Yes, it's Carolyn Sykes. She is chief pianist on the Lawrence Welk's show. 28
