Each driver is assigned a specific route for which he is responsible for the safety of those students who board his bus. fl, il S06 The main purpose of the safe- ty patrol is to assist the bus drivers in order to prevent accidents and maintain discipline on the buses. Patrol members are assigned to each of the buses, but. since some smaller elementary schools are on our bus routes, not all safe- ty patrol members are from james Vlfood. The Safety Patrol members are definitely essential for the safety of the students riding the buses. One of the many duties of the bus drivers is to keep their vehicles in top mechanical shape.
