D.E..LEADS TO A FUTURE IN RETAILING Distributive Education at James Wood celebrated its tenth anniversary with the largest enrollment in its history this year. A total of forty-three students are enrolled this year, with thirty-three students in the first year group, and ten in the second year group. To be accepted, a student must - be a junior or Senior, have approval of the Distributive Education Co-Ordinator, consent of their parents and have an over all average scholastically. In Distributive Education the student has an opportunity to work on a part time basis in different businesses in Win- chester and Frederick County. The Class-room instruction deals with different areas of Mr. James A. Biddle Shepherd College V.P.I., R.P.I. Degree-A.B. Distribution, such as: selling, stock-keeping, merchandise in- formation, advertising, store operation, marketing, and display. Mr. F. William Fulboam Adult Imlructof for the Northern Area R.P.I., V.P.l. Mr. Cheshire is a Coordinator-ln-Training with the Distributive Education Department this year. He is a Senior at V.P.I. Mr. Biddle is pointing to the various points of the D. E. Emblem as Doris Micheal is explaining it.
