D.E..LEADS TO A FUTURE IN RETAILING Distributive Education at James Wood celebrated its tenth anniversary with the largest enrollment in its history this year. A total of forty-three students are enrolled this year, with thirty-three students in the first year group, and ten in the second year group. To be accepted, a student must - be a junior or Senior, have approval of the Distributive Education Co-Ordinator, consent of their parents and have an over all average scholastically. In Distributive Education the student has an opportunity to work on a part time basis in different businesses in Win- chester and Frederick County. The Class-room instruction deals with different areas of Mr. James A. Biddle Shepherd College V.P.I., R.P.I. Degree-A.B. Distribution, such as: selling, stock-keeping, merchandise in- formation, advertising, store operation, marketing, and display. Mr. F. William Fulboam Adult Imlructof for the Northern Area R.P.I., V.P.l. Mr. Cheshire is a Coordinator-ln-Training with the Distributive Education Department this year. He is a Senior at V.P.I. Mr. Biddle is pointing to the various points of the D. E. Emblem as Doris Micheal is explaining it. Here Mr. Fulboam observe the procedures that Peggy Sager is using in selling this box of candy to Judy Hewitt. A JOB WELL DONE
