CIVIL WAR CENTENNIAL PROGRAM Captain Bowers leads Company K into the audito- rium. ln commemoration of the Civil War, the S.C.A. and the History Department sponsored an assembly this year in co-operation with the Civil War Centennial Commission. Company K, Fifth Virginia Infantry, and Virgil Car- rington jones, famous author, highlighted the program. Miss Lucy Kurtv. daughter of the original leader of Com- pany K, presents the Virginia flag to Captain Bowers. Members of the choral group sing famous songs of the South in opening the assembly. NXQH5' Mr. Carrington jones gives an interesting description of one of thc famous Confederate guerillas.
