CLUB The Varsity Club is an organization com- posed of the members of the varsity team that have earned varsity letters in the sports in which they are engaged-football, bas- ketball, track, and baseball. During the course of the year. the club operates a concession stand at the basketball home games. The club takes the proceeds for the procuring of letters which are awarded to the students who have earned the correct number of points for their participation in certain sports. ln early spring the club in co-operation with one of the other clubs of school, pre- sents a joint assembly at which time they award letters, medals, and trophies to the outstanding athletes. The club takes time out for some fun and relaxation. In joint sponsorship the Varsity Club and the Pep Club have a picnic. Varsity Club encourages the membership to increase sportsmanship, co-operation, and athletic participation among the members of the teams and the james Woocl students. James Woixl is proud of her teams and let's them know it through efforts of the Pep Club. This Club helps school spirits soar through the decoration of the goal posts, Homecoming Activities, posters, and other programs which inspire pep and enthusiasm in our students.

GIRLS' MONOGRAM CLUB The Girls Monogram Club is a 500 point club. Every girl from her freshman year to her senior year can participate in the intramural program. For each different sport in which she is a participant she receives 75 points. Each member of the winning team receives an additional 25 points. When a girl acquires 500 points she receives a letter from the Girls Monogram Club. For each additional 200 points she receives a bar.
