The main purpose of the Future Nurses' Club is to stimulate interest in nursing or other medical fields and to acquaint the students with the requirements they must meet for entry into their chosen field of work. At their meetings they had guest speakers from the various fields of medicine, and saw motion pictures on nursing recruitment, physical therapy and rehabilita- tion. To be eligible for membership in the club, the student must be a junior or senior and maintain at least a C average. Our Tri-Hi-Y Club was composed this year of forty-seven members, who strived to create, maintain, and extend, throughout the home, school, and community, high standards of Christian character. The club has been very active in the spiritual life of the school. It has been responsible for the Thought for the Week, grace at lunch, and Chapel on Wednesdays, and also sends representatives to the Model General Assembly in Richmond.
