Membership is maintained throughout the stu- dent's high school career. The two major purposes of the Latin Club are the social and cultural development of the members. Read- LATI ing, pictures, film strips, and reports were presented periodically to enhance the members' background of in- formation concerning Roman life in the past and present. Each year students taking Latin find knowledge not only of the language but also of the customs. They discover new and interest- ing things about the slaves, war and combat, eating habits and such.
