SPECIAL FEATURES IN CLASS AT HOME Mary Barnsley, who was unable to attend school the first semester of this year due to injuries suffered in a car wreck, is shown above attending class from her wheel chair. This was made possible through the local telephone company, which installed a special communication system between Maryls home and her classrooms at james Wood. This system, one of the few in operation for such purposes, enabled Mary to hear and participate in all class discussions and assignments. Using this unique system, Mary maintained a high average in all of her required subjects, a tribute to her courage, her parents' faith, and the school. 85
