BETA BEAUTY CONTEST ON FRIDAY NIGHT, November 22, amid vari-colored lights and soft music, the annual Beta Club Beauty Contest was presented before a full auditorium. This yearls pro- gram was particularly interesting, because there was an added attraction of a talent contest. .KVM Long Live the Queen! 104 The judges were Mr. and Mrs. Haskell Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ruther- ford, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Fleming Wise- carver, all from Clarke County. They chose Janice Brum- back as the 1957 Miss james Wood and she was crowned by the 1956 beauty, Carol Zimmerman, The other winners were: second place beauty, Lorraine Bond, third place beauty, Angela Greene, first place gown, Charlotte Alder, second place gown, Patsy Wolfe, third place gown, Peggy McCarty. The talent winners were ' af Vawaifsg ! JUNE PUTNAM Talent Wilmer chosen by the applause of the audience and were june Putnam, tap dance, fifSf Place and Faye Denson, vocal solo, second place.
