Alll lllllll Under the leadership of Jane Clevenger, President, the Art Club has had a very success' ful year. The knowledge of color and its use has heen stressed throughout the year. The cluh has practiced various types of sketching and painting. WllllllY'S SlZIlIllIlllIlS The Journalism Club was organized in September, 1950, by the members of the jourf nalism Class. The oflicial name of VV'oodyls Scribblersu was chosen. The following oflicers were elected at this time: President, Bill Bailey: VicefPresidcnt, Pat Smith: Secretary, Mary Ann Mcllwee: Treasurer, Barbara Wmmlfeg Activities Chairman, Ben Strawderman. XVoody's Scribblers have had an active year. A skating party was sponsored early in the year: there was a snipe hunt, which proved to be quite interesting: and a regal celebration of our sponf Upper left: Other officers of the club watch the treasf urer count our money. Upper right: Class, club and grade editors look over an old issue of the Wcmtmd sor, Miss Newton's birthday with a delicious cake baked by members of the club, The yuletide sea' son brought Christmas cheer and a gala party at which time silly gifts were exchanged and the club presented Miss Newton with a com' pact and a record. The club plans to visit a newspaper office and have a newspaperman speak at a meeting. WUIIIIBI H951 The Senior Class of blames Vxfood High School early in the school year felt the urge to get underway with the aeeonif plishinent which we have now rcached, the puhlication of the lirst annual. The first step toward our goal was the organilation ol the annual staff at which time the Seniors elected Hillary Brant, jr., our editor, hy holding a secret hallot. There were numerous other editors and assistant editors elected hy our staff. lininediately we hegan work on the annual. Not only did we work during school hours. hut we held meetings inany nights and Sunday afternoons. Now our worries are over. the annual is ready to he presented to the students and patrons of the school, It is the sincere wish of the staff memf hers that this, the first annual, will down through the years give inspiration and courage to each class as they face the prohleins of their high school days.
