John Oliver, the editor, and reporter Marlene Gross received the Roundtable before its distribution throughout the school. In printing human-interest ar- ticles and editorials as well as news reviews, the editors and staff of the Roundtable publish a journal that, as their title head- lines indicate, is by the student, for the student. The members of the Round- table Staff receive basic journal- istic training and their efficiency is evident in the honors bestowed upon them. The Roundtable Staff are members of the Virginia High School League, in which they won a trophy for having the best mimeographed school newspaper in Virginia for 1964-65, and the Southern Interscholastic Press As- sociation which gave them first place awards for the past five, years. 90
