Their overall record was 9-5. The team was not ex- perienced and is still in the process of building for The future. Wayne Reek was The team standout throughout The year. Two-year veteran Jim Plunkett leads the pitching staff which also boasts juniors Charlie Caraccilo, Steve Almond and sopho- more reliever Tom Corchero. Lou Perske is currently the leading hitter with a .4l7 average. Steve Henriques and Dave LaCerda are loatting over .300. According to coach Bill Hughes, Our outfield and pitching is strong, and if our hit- ting is good, we have a chance to go all the way. Pre-season picks Hill and Willow Glen will provide the toughest competition for the Comets this season.
