ACTIVITIES Autumn Choral Concert by the Girls Chorus and the Mixed Chorus. The first concert of this kind given at Bowen was highly successful. Christmas Program-Christ mas caroling in the community. Spring Choral Competition and the Spring Festival, which were both in May. The Bowen Mixed Chorus has experienced steady progress under the guid- ance and leadership of Mr. Melvin Widman. We are most grateful for his ser- vices and shall miss him greatly since he will be leaving in June. The aims of the organization are: 1. To sing worth-while music with the highest possible degree of technical and artistic perfection. 2. To offer students the opportunity for self-better- ment and social satisfaction such as results from group singing. 3. To foster a cultural climate in which the whole school family can share and benefit. 4. To foster school-spirit and a real sense of teamwork among the members of the group that will be mutually beneficial. 5. To counter-act the musical mediocrity that sur- rounds us and seems to dominate the entertainment field. E
