Shine The Spotlight on Our Stage Crew The many stimulating programs which we at Bowen enjoy throughout the year would never be so' effective without the services afforded us by the generosity of the stage crew. We all know that we can count on these boys to make the best of a pro- gram, whatever it may be, and once it has been Jim Wilen and Richard Zeh working behind the scenes. put into their hands, we begin to feel assured of its success. We are not disappointed when, later, we see the expression of our thought cross the foot- lights to inspire, amuse, or instruct, the audience is hardly aware of the timing, the integration, the effect, achieved by their management. Shutterbugs Study Value of Photography The Shutterbugs, sponsored by Mr. Willitim H. Collins in the fall of l950, and by Mr. A. E. Larsen in the spring of 1951, is open to all Bowen High School students. It strives to create an interest in photography and gives its members an opportunity to discuss problems and exchange ideas concerning picture taking. They have gone on field trips to points of interest and have enjoyed lectures on filters, lenses, film, color film, developing, good pictures, and different cameras. The lectures are given by guest speakers and by club members. Movies, tours and demonstrations are also a part of the activities of the Shutterbugs. Topics such as composition, lenses and lights are featured at meetings along with analyzing prints and dark room technique. The club also sponsors photo contests among its members. Sept.-Jan.
