The bulletun says efafii Jfdlcvlaf une 1950 After four years of struvung we may well undulge un a luttle remunuscung Oruentatuon Day' Thus was the untroductuon to our hugh school career We wondered uf we could ever reach the heights of that wonderful place Bowen Hugh School We remem ber best of all September 3 l946 when we furst entered Bowen as Freshues To hughlught our freshman year there was the tour of the Carnegue lllunous Steel Corporation and the thrull of havung our baseball team take the South Sectuon Crown Our sophomore year came quuckly and found us uounung the varuous clubs at school We won t forget those wonderful Fruday nught socuals When our names appeared un the school paper our prude knew no end and how we worked to get on the honor roll' That year we had a cuty wude wrestlung champuon among us remember? lunuor year Now we were upper classmenl That year some of the husky Boulermakers qualufued for the school teams Remember the Bowen Frolucs and all the publucuty we receuved7 All the fun and work unvolved was shared equally by the students and teachers so we could rause enough money to furnush our beautuful socual room We deserve to be proud Funally the bug day came' The day we became senuors We enjoyed the fruendly atmosphere of the audutoruum during duvusuon and were really un the swung of thungs The elections of class offu cers and notables were among the furst of the year s events Such bug thungs happened Class Day Senuor Award Assembly and the Steak Fry Then the most umportant socual event of our hugh school career That wonderful nught of june 2nd the nught of the Senuor Prom at the Shoreland Hotel Soon graduatuon followed, the clu max to a wonderful hugh schol career Yet thus was not the end The future undeed was ours sunce we had prepared for ut Twenty fuve I our members were inducted into the National Honor Society, while
