v3.11-as lill SA KIA PKI UNI L ziuxlzrir llfu mit lilur NAXCH PAXIQII XNIN IAXIILICII f fi ii ClIXlxllS ANIJIRSON Pnmltul ASS OF JUNE I Un unc 26 1946 another class of seniors will hue ended their high school education. and will be prepared to face the problems of life. We all won't take the same paths in the future days ahead' but one path we will all travel on is the one that shall be marked Memories of Bowen . See if we can t recall some of these memories that are so dear to us. Our freshman year at school was decidedly different to that of former classes our thoughts were focused on World War II and what we as young Americans could do to bring about the termination of this world crisis. We decided that our part would be to support all wartime campaigns seek employment relieving more experienced workers for important military employ'- ment. and at the same time try successfully to complete our high school education. By' the time we had completed our third year we learned that we had accom- plished our tasks. Proof of this is the fact that we always exceeded our quotas in Bond Drives Scrap Drives and Paper Drives-'Some of the students secured part-time work in department stores and factories. so that others could find em- ployment in war plants. It was at this time that the students who worked especially hard were inducted into the National Honor Society the highest honor bestowed upon any' high school student. Other fortunate students became members of the Honor Club' while still others became interested in the other educational clubs. Our senior year opened in a world that was once more free from danger. I seemed that Bowen was being rewarded for a job well done during the war for we flew our colors brilliantly in all undertakings. There was the R.O.T.C. Picked Platoon Placement. The Choral Competitions of I9-46, in which Bowen rated an 9 and the honor of having been asked to appear on the Citizens of Tomorrow' Broadcast. Another memorable ey ent. the Prom held at the lxnickerbocker. XVe leave Bowen in body, but not in mind. We should like to take this op- portunity' to wish all our fellow classmates, best wishes for success. l'u.1gu 1' ly
